The Palmers Green Festival 2009

The “Palmers Green Festival” 2009, hosted by the Pro-Cancer-Research Fund, a cancer charity based in Palmers Green, will take place on Sunday 28 June from 2pm-7pm.

The free festival will be based in Broomfield Park and will feature live music, singing and dancing including a variety of multicultural acts and bands from all over London. Food and refreshments will be available throughout the day and children will be catered for with the presence of a story reading tent and a treasure hunt around the park.

At the heart of the festival is the show entitled "Get your Act Together" a platform for musicians and singers of all ages to perform in front of a live audience.

Alongside the entertainment there will be Cancer Awareness & Health & Wellbeing Zones with top experts answering questions and mingling amongst the crowd. Our aim is to take the experts to the people helping to make the subject more discussable; people can also chat in private about anything to do with cancer or health & wellbeing. Whilst the festival is part of the general PCRF mission to encourage young people to engage with their health, this is also a multicultural event which celebrates diversity.
