Non milky alternatives

Question

My father in law has osophageal cancer, diabetes and a colostomy bag. He has been using Fortisip and Fortijuice as a regular part of his diet for some months now but has recently developed strage, cheesey smelling, diarrhea (This is not good with a colostomy bag). I was wondering if there was a non milky complete formula. We already use Fortijuice as an energy boost in the mornings.

Answer

Thank you for your question, I am sorry to hear about your father in law's problems. We do not make a non milky complete formula, however if he is managing some oral intake he may not need a nutritionally complete formula, he could perhaps just increase his intake of Fortijuce. Another option for him to try would be our Fortisip Multifibre that is complete, which can help with diarrhoea. I would recommend that you seek the advice of a Dietitian via his GP. They would have access to your father in laws medical history and would then be able to give him specific nutritional advice. Please do not hesitate, to contact us again, if you have further queries.
