Before going into hospital for a full Gastrectomy in 2004, 56 year-old Glyn Wyld didn’t know what to expect so increased his food intake to ‘bulk up’ and allow for a little weight loss that might happen afterwards. In fact, after the operation Glyn lost 56lbs (4 stone) and dropped to a worrying 8 stone. Now, thankfully in remission, Glyn shares his story in the hope he can help others…

Weight had never been an issue for forty-five year-old David Addis that was, until he began a year-long battle with cancer which led to eating problems and an unhealthy three and a half stone weight loss.
At his lowest point the five foot ten IT specialist weighed just 9 stone 2lbs and was only able to swallow clear soup!
