Ingredients (for 4 scones)
bottle of an oral nutritional supplement (e.g. 125ml bottle) (vanilla flavour)
g self-raising flour
an egg, beaten
Preheat the oven to 200°C (gas mark 7).
Sieve the flour into a bowl and spring in the sugar. Rub in the butter lightly until the mixture appears crumbly.
Add the dried fruit, egg and bottle of oral nutritional supplement (e.g. 125ml bottle) and mix into dough.
Cover and leave to rest for 10 minutes.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured work surface. Roll out the dough to approximately 1 inch thick and cut into 4 using a scone cutter.
Bake for six minutes or until golden brown.
